I mean if I were australian I'd also not leave my house unless it's burning down or theres a bbq down the street. With all them kangaroos and ultrahitlerdeathcamp spiders and whatnot they got roaming around
Okay, context - Australia had a federal election today to decide who is going to be running Australia. Some polling stations run free sausage sizzles, where you can get sausage with bread and sauce and onion, but Mako didn't get her sausage (a legitimate tragedy). I've not heard the phrase "democracy sausage" before, but I think the meaning here is apparent.
She can get some sausage tomorrow pretty easily at the hardware store (true and real). A male or some meat on a piece of bread. Whatever works, I suppose.
I think it worth sharing the Hololive merch situation on the main thread. Apparently, Hololive is making their merch in China and shipping from there. The tariffs Trump has implemented on Chinese products have put a huge extra cost on them for US buyers:
Because most of the other places instantly get the bot swarms of "Orange Man Bad!", it gets lost, but I'm pretty sure Cover screwed something up in their calculations. At absolutely most it should be 170% if you hit basically every trip wire. The only way the numbers make sense (and the % are different by a bit in every screenshot) is if there's some fixed fee they're adding, then the duty and at the Japanese Point of Sale price. The duty shouldn't be hitting Cover's Profit Margin on the product. Unless they're also attaching a double duty for any tariffs on Japan.
Unless they're just trying to hide their production costs (design will cost as much as production, so we don't really care on that point), whatever system they're using for calculation seems flawed. Now, if they've somehow hit the Shipping Cost as well, that would make more sense.

Kangaroos can be vicious bastards when they want to be - they have a pretty powerful kick and sharp claws and don't mind using either - but imagine being too afraid of taking on a kangaroo. NGMI.

Yeah, I purchased the Novelite plushie, and it was pretty pricey (about 91 dollars). If you really wanna buy merch to support your oshi and have the cash to do it, I'd recommend just buying one item. Otherwise, it's probably better to wait until things get less expensive.
