Now i don't know how “emotional manipulation” works here as an argument. I do think is a little naive to think that emotional manipulation is the only factor here. Nano is not a child or someone without agency.
Yes, Sinder and RED could have acted like Hannibal Lecter with her, but let's no pretend that economic incentives weren't also a factor in Nano decision.
But ultimately, she still decided to expose Sinder. Was she trying to cover her owns ass and did a perfect demonstration of the Prisoner's dilemma? Perhaps.
