If you ever set foot there yourself, sure. But it would be Bilibili running that risk, not Holo (if they've got any sense). At least that's how I'd do it - tell them they're not getting our talents' personal information, that we can't provide it as a matter of Japanese privacy law, and if Bilibili wants us on their platform then they've got to figure something out and provide their own fall guy.

I highly doubt that. The issue with those Bilibili regulations is that they were vague enough that they can be openly-interpreted whichever way Chinese regulators see fit if/when they decide you're a target. It may work for Cover with their sacrificial ID chuubas on these past few occasional Bilibili streams but who knows next time with their other talents. I think it's less of a "too big too fail" and more of a "Too old to tell".
the regulations are made by 80 years old something in the government. They dont know jack shit about vtuber. It's still is a ultra niche sector of streaming.
The law was mainly targetting Tiktok/QQ sellers, these people stream to like billions of viewers to sell random shit like temu. Bilibili and hololive money is just a joke/rounding error to them.

I always thought if I became a VTuber I'd do "cooking traditional German/European food" streams and then just make Turkish food like kebab or maybe Germany exclusive McDonalds staples.
American VTubers could do the same with "cooking traditional American food" while just making Taco Bell menu items.

While Mexican food is not traditionally American and Turkish food is not traditionally German, the fast food variants are widely spread in the respective countries and have become staple foods for everyday people. I always find it really funny when people complain they don't have time to cook as a streamer/content creator. That's why you do meal prep in advance and actually learn to cook. Turns out that you can cook at the same time you do other things, and when you put in the work to make 4-6 days worth of food, suddenly it's no longer that much of a burden. Arrange your life so you can cook your meal prep on a day off and it won't even overlap anything more critical that might take your attention away from cooking.

It's not being a vtuber that makes it hard, it's being too lazy to cook or simply never learning how to.

For some in Japan if they live in apartments it would depend on whether there's any kitchen at all. I think Bae took some time getting her place because she insists on having a proper kitchen.
Also some like VSpo's Ichinose Uruha shouldn't cook.

A slow cooker is one of the best things I have bought. As long as you're fine with eating the same thing for days/weeks it's a very good thing to own.

Specifically, it's because she has gas stove autism for cooking with a wok and wouldn't settle for appartments with electric stoves (which as a bit of an induction stove sperg myself, kinda hurt to hear)

TBH the fact that you can still find appartments in Tokyo connected to the gas grid in the first place surprised me, I thought Japan was a pioneer in switching to electricity for heating and cooking, just from the seismic risk to the gas mains alone. Plus the fact that importing LNG is expensive AF for them.

A crock pot isn't a pressure cooker.....


Crock pots are literally the most braindead easy thing to cook with in the world, I think even the usual girlfailure suspects could figure them out. I literally leave mine on in my house unsupervised so I have a hot meal waiting when I get home from work; 90% of crockpot recipes don't require anything but "throw stuff into crockpot and leave it for 8 hours".

Is there a way to test this? Can we send Remi a crock pot and see if she somehow burns her house down with it?
