I posted it yesterday, but she said at the end that in the last 2 years they managed to fuck up every single project she planned one way or another and she grew so tired of it she stopped even trying to do anything. All while Aviel was jerking himself off for being a second coming of Jesus to the industry, and running a company with negative cashflow even after 2 years. She also alleged on a graduation stream itself that despite him never shutting up about transparency the contract actually had a lot of completely unreasonable clauses that severely interfered with her ability to stream
Didn't Legal Cocksucker(Mindset)consult on the contract when he started to grift in the vtuber sphere? But yeah I'd be pissed if someone constantly got in my way on making a living and tried to pretend the second coming of christ.

Yeah there was a bunch of nonsense talk and preaching about him reviewing their contract and helping them make it ultra-mega-talent-freedom-y and the best ever and then releasing it so everyone could see how good and moral they were but despite saying it was gonna be revealed, aviel just kept pushing back the date of it saying "we're working on it" and then he got rid of the company while legal brainfart just washed his hands by kinda throwing idol under the bus a while back.

Lawyer dude seems to have gotten bored of vtubing now that there's no Niji drama to give him views, bro is back to his Disney hate rotation and going after Johnny Somali now lol.

I dont think he ever did that transparency outlook with Aviel?
Iirc he was going to make a full blown overview of the contract
Nope, never did. But I vaguely recall him posting on Twitter that it was "super cereal" the best contract ever.' Im not going to look for that shit, though. :smugina:

My honest to God reaction. Based as fuck on Mozu's part, though.

Juna had none that I could think of. Girl was auditioning to every single company under a sun, both korean and english speaking. And her main source of income was doing rigging for other people. Rin had her horse girl account, but dumping a huge channel into the trashcan is kind of stupid
Getting an audience as a small indie vtuber is hard as fuck, sure. But keeping an audience as an ex-corpo indie vtuber seems to be much easier - and that does not seem to depend much on if they retain the IP, go back to an old one, or have a new model made.

Basically I think the best thing a vtuber at a shaky corpo can do is grow their audience, rather than spending resources on a potential IP buyout.

I can make contract that gives me no rights, I take no cuts, I have to pay them salary and handle all their responsibilities. It will be the best contract ever. I will also run out of money in about a couple of months, but that's a whole other discussion. If Aviel's initial goal was not to sell it off to someone else before he runs out of gas (which he barely managed to do in time) he might've had a still functioning small corpo that is capable to stay on float and slowly expand. Instead he got bitter ex-employees who shit all over it on their way out and current employees who show nothing but support for such behaviour

28:00 Brave is still technically taking a cut from her for a whole year despite being completely independent otherwise. Which is why she made a throne account with dog food just to fuck with them.

It's been a hot minute but IIRC:
Calliope talked a year or two ago about her asking management if collabing with anyone outside Hololive would negatively affect their chance to audition.
The management claimed that it wouldn't, but Calli wasn't as sure.

I've always assumed that Calli was talking about Milky in this instance.

I'll see if I can dig up the zatsu vod or a more concrete source.
Edit: All I could find was this post back in March where @El Rrata mentioned it as well. :baeJam:

I mean Subaru Collabed with Iroha back when she was in IRIAM as Nia Tsumugi and still got in
As for most long collab partners you have Choco and Luna who collabed a lot when she was in Nijisanji and still got in
But even if she got in i think people will just cry

Nah, at least when talking about merch she very much said it's the opposite. And it wouldn't make any sense, the biggest reason Idol couldn't make profit is because they weren't taking enough money. Why would Brave buy them and give a contract that makes even less money than the one that was already not profitable
I was going off of the number of people staying. If the contract is worse then all of those who stayed are fucking retarded even if they claim to give them 3d and albums out the ass. I recently got pushed on youtube some dude who screams at retards in debt to hopefully get out of debt and I realized that the average person, specially women, are far more retarded than I thought and the bar was close to downies. Props to juna for fucking off and managing to get her IP on the way out, the deal reeks of kike but it's better than starting from 0
Surely one of the lessons of the past several months is that vtuber IP has generally been overvalued, and you can retain a very significant chunk of your audience even if you rebrand/go back to an old model.
I wouldn't say overvalued per say but it does help jump many hoops and timewasters. The company already had to deal with the art Yamanbars for them to get a model ready. Unless you're someone beloved by the community or with enough pull behind the scenes, this far into the game trying to get a model done is gonna set you back probably for 6 months. Buying out your IP and skipping all that headache to me it would be a great investment.

Idol Corp under Aviel was not financially viable, even after two years of operation, and with shit like not shipping merchandise and running on a skeleton management crew, you can't make a fair comparison of contract with Brave who is (as far as I'm aware) trying to run a legit, fully-staffed operation, and will have very different incentives for talents in its contract to what Idol Corp originally did.

The most obvious answer is they didn't have the money Brave was asking from them. Rin has her mother managing the money and Juna was putting all she was earning on bank account while working 2 more jobs. They are also easily top earners in the company and have been there the longest. Gen3 had no choice in the matter and likely was actually signed with Brave to start with and Idol was only acting as current employer. From what I recall most of the people left are also more interested in music creation and Brave offers great connections if that's your forte. Then you add that if you want to be corpo vtuber it's likely the contracts everywhere are the same, so there is little point in going through leave idol - work as indie - join another corpo. And they are retarded young women

Even if we discount black company contracts, different companies have different revenue splits, and offer different incentives and specializations to talents. Companies like Phase might take a 50% cut of income but give plenty of support for music production and convention support, while other places might take less money but not be so focused on music production, for example. There will likely be clauses that don't really change between companies such as how contracts will be arbitrated, behaviour clauses and so forth, but the devil will really be in the details.

I mean I'm sure head jew also said and probably made it look like his operation was legit. The way brave has been going about it is why I said that they have infinite money until they don't, they're probably so more in the red than head jew. If brave manages to become the youtube of vtuber agencies where it can run at a loss I wish all the girls who stayed good luck because I doubt they can pull it off.

I agree that the end result is basically the same but when brave goes tits up I really doubt they will get the same deal juna and the others got to keep the IP. I think those who decided to stay really missed on a good deal they probably won't get again and might have to start from zero. Brave can proove me wrong but it just feels like microsoft buying studios only for them to shut them down. Anyway I'm legally obligated to say the following

LIIIIIISA YOU STOOOOOOPID SHIT!!! :urtearingmeapart::urtearingmeapart::urtearingmeapart::urtearingmeapart:
All you had to do was fucking dm fishman and ask if there was a space for you. You'd have dedicated money for covers, maybe an EP and merch that would ship next millenium!!!
