So while deep in the Epic The Musical rabbit hole I discovered a 13K sub Vtuber named LeKale, that I just have to gush about for a bit. The first thing I noticed was the gorgeous model/rigging, and great mouth tracking, then it was her singing. This cover slaps HARD

She has a bunch of covers on her channel that I binged for the rest of the day at work she has an AMAZING singing voice.

If they keep sweeping it I predict they'll either be eliminated (which will make the whole thing loose credibility), the selection will be left to judges (which will be rigged to hell) or they will create new indie-only categories (which will just feature the same 50 odd popular twitch whores). Idk if Holo will deign to attend the thing, but Filian being involved in drama does lean me towards unlikely, it's better if they don't because awards are stupid.

You have to consider that JP vtubing is way, WAY, more popular in its market than EN vtubing. In Japan vtubers have reached the status of small time celebrities, their concerts gets tens of thousands to watch and the merch is sold absolutely everywhere.

That's true but imagine how happy Raden would be if she's mentioned as a creative arts nomine. Even better she will have to bite her tongue when she learns the winner is some thot that does macaroni art while cosplaying.

So who would we vote for as the best vtuber? It's either Suisei, Marine or Pekora I think. Also there is an outside chance for JP to win the international streamer award. Suisei for both I think.

Raden isn't an artist (drawing and painting) and she's not popular whatsoever in EN, her growth is all JP atm so no chances of her ever winning anything. As for "best vtuber" that is reserved for ironlung to win in perpetuity unless somebody like doki goes full american elections on the thing to get people to vote for her.

I genuinely cannot think of a bigger waste of my time than watching some award show. I have at least some respect for Filian for her work on the Vtuber Awards show, despite its flaws, but even then, I'm not watching that, and if I'm not watching that, I'm sure as hell not wasting my time watching an award show for streamers as a whole. I absolutely despise the general culture within the livestreaming space. Everything from the retarded, Twitch-approved politisperging from Hasan to the reacting, and later on bending the knee and apologizing from having a slightly hotter than lukewarm take from Asmongold to whatever dumb shit Dr. Disrespect has found himself in and everything in between is all insufferable.

Good for Ironmouse for being acknowledged by people outside of the vtubing sphere, I guess, but as far as I'm concerned, the more detached vtubing is from this stuff, the better for vtubing.
