I don't think this is meant to be an official 3D debut. It wasn't originally on her schedule and it looks like this was just a model made by a fan in VRoid Studio. This does remind me though, a week or so before the pre-Christmas panic she was talking about getting her new outfit soon and Kanna has apparently been talking about future plans going into next year. It doesn't seem like the company is fully closing down more like something internal has changed that made the girls panic, possibly a buy out by Brave Group as others have speculated. Or maybe they are shutting down, it's just that the announcement was so sudden that events beng planned far in advance couldn't account for it and the talents are just trying to pretend like nothing is going on for now. Either way I do find it strange that Lottie has been posting art on her alt account almost daily including a few of a 3D model which oddly parallels today's stream:
Also some people were wondering in the other thread how she got some Metokur fans in her audience. It's simple: Pippa inherited a lot of Metokur's fans and she raided into Lottie's debut, so it looks like some of them stuck around. How she kept their attention without doing anything even remotely edgy I still don't know but then again I only started watching vtubers because Metokur stopped streaming in 2020. I think she is just really good at capturing an audience with her enthusiasm and making the audience act in the way that she wants them to without being manipulative just by naturally having them match her energy. It's to the point where I think that the lads are playing as much a character as she is and the more shitposty side really only comes out when they dedicate themselves to trolling her.

They'd need to break one of the blanket rules for vtubing: if they nuke Coni and don't clarify, it's another episode of bad PR for a brand that is on steady recovery, and if they do correlate Coni and Menace they will open the pandora box for everyone, causing stress for every single corpo around, as "Brave did it, so I, a civilian, am also allowed to do it as it's normalized".
The manifesto feels that it came from someone who went to PR college but never had to deal with the intrisecate, autistic market that is vtubing.

Correction, there wasn't any Phase Connect mod faggotry (well, worse than normal mod faggotry). Proctor got the head PC mod, Xalamon, mixed up with Lumi's previous mod, and then came up with a headcannon that Lumi was probably in a relationship with said mod.

I felt deja vu with this VOLs situation, and i remembered now what i observed a few times:
Them getting oneguyed and overreacting (any reaction at all really) to most milquetoast vanilla meme looks a lot like they're bad financially and panicking, doing random things that don't cost money and almost never address real problems, but are "proper, standard" things to do.
Like, your wares are shit and store is swamped with returns, but you order workers to decorate for every holiday and rotate fake sale price tags instead of getting better wares.

Hololive, while it is concerning that they've lost a few talents this year, have shown no signs of this being a company-wide problem and has just been individuals with some isolated problems or individual desires to do things on their own. There seems to be some shifts within the company that some are not a fan of, but it doesn't seem to be an issue for most of the talents.
I don't know anything about VOL, nor what reactions to the meme they got to prompt this dumb incident, but it was just a singular overreaction, and hopefully they read the reactions to their overreaction and learn from it. As I said, I know nothing else about them, so there could be more to them that's negative, but as far as the meme thing goes, it was dumb, but that's about it.
The Phase mod thing had nothing to do with Phase itself and was just isolated to some people involved in Lumi's Discord server. This also happened back in August. I only brought it up yesterday because I was reminded of it, and figured some may find it interesting. At the end of the day, it was old news and very little came of it. Just some Discord drama.
As for Brave/Idol, while they have certainly had issues this year, the majority of Idol talents decided to stay with Idol during the acquisition. This recent post by them is pretty stupid, but nothing about it is there to make things worse for the talents. Just your standard anti-doxing/anti-harassment spiel. Idol has definitely been involved in sketchy shit this year, mostly before the acquisition, but I don't think they're straying toward "black company".
