It's laughably pathetic. This thing has been going since JUNE, there is absolutely nothing they could be doing with the Kizuna AI character that could be interesting enough to justify a fucking six month lead-up. The brand's already dead in the water, trying to manufacture a hype cycle like this only serves to underwhelm the few people who might've had a passing interest.

They're probably going to announce a comeback concert or some shit when the time comes, only to be met with a universal response of "oh, okay", followed by everyone forgetting ten minutes later.
