I'm extremely late since it took me a while, but I've gone and tried to buy one small package item from small company stores. I've checked PixelLink, V&U, Phase, V4mirai(Idol is same) and Globie. I chose addresses in Berlin and LA with limited time pre orders to compare their product release dates. Can't say anything about quality for any of them. Delivery times range from a week to 2-3 weeks. No idea how punctual they are, since my Phase merch were punctual unlike others and I didn't buy anything from rest. Products should be easy enough to find from this post, if you wish to check it for your own address.
One issue with this comparison is I can't compare how much shipping cost changes for bigger items.

I just want to add that some shops will choose to add VAT for European orders while some won't. It still has to be paid though and if your package gets checked by customs you'll have to pay VAT (if it wasn't collected by the seller) and any import duties that may apply.
