If you choose to live in California you have to accept that your vote does not matter on the federal level.
It surprisingly matters for local, statewide, and house elections, but it will not matter for any of the presidential, presidential primary or senate races. Even if you vote Dem your vote doesn't matter, the race is called within seconds of the polls closing. Even in Presidential Primaries the candidates are usually locked in by the time California votes.
