Lord of the Rings (as movies) suck balls. Then you look at something with the same extent or maybe even longer, Monogatari, and it's a masterpiece adaptation across many iterations.

Edit:march of the ents is pretty cool too but i dont want to mention it because both weedmage whitepants and ents themselves took way too much screentime doing fucking nothing ruining pacing kinda, which really sucks in a movie thats 4 hours long. Didnt mind cause was on night shift
