I can go through all of my DMs and can attest that I never once got any DMs with info about Purrson or anyone else. If you know anyone who did and can post ones that I missed, then I'll happily rescind this statement. I do however have screenshots of my moderators going to your server and asking repeatedly for clarification and information from users who had left about the issues they had left over. All they got in reply was evasion. If people will not talk to moderators even after they are specifically reached out to, there is nothing else we can do.
As I said; the information we got was not actionable. At no point did you or anyone else actually tag a moderator into that thread. I was not even aware that it existed for a very long time until I spotted it at random during a sweep of the thread system a long while after you left the server.
I would also note that other members of the community have demonstrated quite similar behaviour to Purrson before. Should I ban @Moth Enjoyer V2 because he quite frequently thirst-posts about bugs in ways that other users consistently call out as creepy and weird? The last time I decided to use my administrative powers to remove someone, almost the entire community condemned my actions as arbitrary and unwarranted, even after it was prompted by that user going on a very long and detailed tangent defending someone for a deeply heinous act. The lesson I took from that is that I should never shoot unless I was certain to hit a target. I apologize that this stance resulted in the situation of today, but want to emphasize that it wouldn't have happened if you'd come to me directly in my DMs.
If I gave that impression, I'm sorry. Again; the disjointed nature of the accusations, combined with similar behaviour of other members that did not recieve similar critique, plus the reaction of people to prior incidents of me deciding to remove users based on perception rather than active rulebreaking is what resulted in these events. I simply wish to reiterate that in future, you should make sure to compile this information and give it to both me and the rest of the staff directly, using either a DM or the ticket system.
I don't recall if you were still in the server when I made this post, but for those not in the Discord, this was a summary of the operational procedure the staff were using.
Nobody objected to this, and nobody raised any doubts or dissent that I am aware of. There was consensus that this was a reasonable way to handle things, so that is how I have proceeded since.
As I have mentioned in previous posts, I have many other concerns and I often miss large sections of conversation. I often wake up in the morning to several hundred pings and mentions, and I often tend to bulk-clear them. This and the additional info @Last Of The Mohicans just mentioned while I was writing this was the reason I didn't register your issues sooner. That was my fault, and I freely admit that. I am simply saying that fixing this will involve more people than myself, because this community is bigger than one person can handle, especially across multiple lines of engagement and communication.
