The guy on the article admits got hit because he was telling people to go to tiktok to donate to him to test a feature, that breaks the second rule and maybe the third if he's funneling all donations through a single service. Their third point is not very clear on the "other features" part but I assume that's by design to ban undesirables something is very common on these platforms. I despise twitch but on this like said before it's people who don't read or can read but are retarded.

I Dm'ed Mila about it and she told me it only applied to combining kick chat with twitch. Whether that's true or not idk and I'm not gonna argue with her about it

It's a combination of the high-profile political extremists (Hasan et al.), and the hot-tub thots. They define the site's public image these days, and the fact both are incredibly profitable through donation-based income streams (bits and subscriptions) while completely alienating advertisers is making Twitch desperate to keep the advertisers they have on board by doing all kinds of performative shit.
I'm certain it's also why they force partnered streamers outside of those categories to run a set quota of ads every hour now. They want advertisers to see their ads playing on normal SFW gaming/vlogging/podcast etc. channels to convince businesses there's actually value to buying ad space on Twitch, since that's not immediately obvious like it is on YouTube where all the big channels are showing ads to hundreds of thousands of people every day.
Does Hasan and his ilk generate more money through subs and Bits than is lost with advertisers fleeing? Maybe the Rubicon hasn't been crossed yet, but I think they are going to have to make the decision soon. Him not being the #1 political streamer anymore seems to have really chapped his ass, and he's going to do something that is going to have to get Twitch to act.
Don't worry Offkai's this weekend, it'll be a barren desert again tomorrow.
