To be fair, no other small corpo has even come close to having a talent with Pippa's level of breakout success--and then see that success eventually spill over into other talents. Every other corpo has had to operate on extremely slim margins, and that's assuming they weren't in the red for the entirety of their lifespan.
In another timeline, a Phase Connect without Pippa could very well have already joined the dust bin of other dead corpos. I do think there's some merit to what you're saying, but it's not the whole picture either. Fishman has been afforded a luxury that most other small companies never get.

Even our titular thread star, Clara, has been in multiple corpos before Phase, and I'm sure people will remember other corpos where multiple major talents started at before becoming big elsewhere. "They didn't have a Pippa" - no, they didn't capitalize on the opportunities they were offered. It wasn't the lack of quality talent that caused other corpos to fail, and Phase Connect would have still been successful without Pippa.
