Users who would like to be able to add to the Threadmark system (as in Threadmark any post in a thread) should @ me in the Forum Discussion thread or send me a DM. I will be assigning these privelges individually to those who request it.
Any content that does not fall into any of the above categories can be discussed in the General Thread as usual. Users are now allowed to create new threads on companies and individual vtubers if they so desire, which can be approved by moderators.
The only thing that rings red flags in all of that is the whole Akuma Miko part. Ai logo? who the fuck cares? Loli lewdtuber? who the fuck cares. They were "unprofessional and blocked someone"? Who the fuck cares. Apparently this is some small shitty group not some corpo as most seem to believe (although they are also partially to blame for that because the image they were selling was one of a small corpo and not of some random vtuber group).
I disagree with this. Now there are more people getting into it because its trendy. Many of the more established large indies have moved towards doing IRL content and constantly there is a new wave of retards showing face or ass every time a new "Vtuber Vs IRL" trend pops up on Twitter (so basically once every 3 months). I do think that the larger indies deserve their spot but at the same time I feel like Vtubing as a concept has turned from "im a character" to "im a person who happens to use this character avatar sometimes".
I could be wrong because I'm pretty content in my little YouTube bubble but I feel like the vast majority of these cases are just Twitch indies (albeit large ones as you point out) who made it big years ago and arguably never really should have been in the VTubing sphere in the first place. As long as Hololive continues to be the pinnacle of VTubing it will keep inspiring girls to follow their model. Phase is growing and, even with somewhat relaxed camera rules, is still largely in line with the same ideals. Some big indies are ex-corpo and sticking to similar content as well like Dooby, Doki, and Mint. All in all I'd say there's much more incentive for girls to become a Coco than a Kson in 2024 unless they have their sights set on Fansly from the start.
