It's always so funny when the "tech experts" come out of the woodwork without an ounce of knowledge how shit has to work on scale and/or remote/portable. (E.g. live mc sections)
Also no one knows the specifics of covers tech. (Aside from the fact that they are in fact improving with nearly every event...see the mentioned regloss 3d)

About that FuwaMoco roommate tweet, it's because they haven't done any Ally & Sally content since the summer and they're feeling stressed about work stuff. They posted this on Patreon a bit ago:


The comments were pretty supportive, but I wouldn't be surprised if there was a retard or two who said something dumb and made them feel bad. Honestly though, they likely just got brainworms and felt guilty without anyone saying anything. I don't think it's anything worth doomposting about either way. I just hope they have a chance to relax at some point.

What's this retard on about? Dooby's setup is absolutely not something just any indie can do without copious amounts of time and money. It's great she did it, but it isn't like the ideas present aren't things that the industry hadn't already been doing with stuff like an interactive environment. Great example:


Also, Altare already showed off a a 3D studio he set up on his own in his place that was good enough to track 3 people with full-body tracking at once back in September.


While it was impressive and fun to watch, nothing in her debut was something that we hadn't seen before in some form or worth acting like she just gave the industry the biggest gift it could imagine. Also, anyone who has watched Ame and listened to her talk about what her 3D setup could do already knew she could do all this lmao.

Edit: it also discounts how much work she put into this. This is not "built in a cave with a box of scraps" moment, she literally has been building her studio for years. She poured the money she made while in Holo into her setup and has made invaluable industry connections who could help her with basically any issue she has. She also has literal first-hand experience that any rando just starting out couldn't easily get.
