The more I read the more I see tons of people coming out to say that this whole ordeal is because of the new november legislation and their corpos are rushing to correct this kind of thing to not get sanctioned. The "Cover was made into an example" theory I have only grows stronger.LegalCockroach is going to be streaming about it too, so expect more seething tourists.
You are totally correct and I hate it.So story so far: Cover got a nothingburger warning over payment delays that happened and were fixed over a year ago in relation to totally new legislation that isn't even in effect yet, but nijisisters trying to portray it as a fucking convicted felony.
>> has also instructed 29 businesses not to repeat the failure to pay
I wonder if there is certain another vtubing copro on that list...
Only the realest of niggas know the old Mikeyposting lore.If you were ever paying attention, you'd know Silvervale was one of her oldest friends from back when she was Sachiowo.
Niji doesn't rape their contractors. It really is convenient that the Nijisisters completely forgot that Nijisanji not too long ago also got exposed for mistyped contracts, misspelling of names for the creators that worked with them, and noted cases of resending the same contract/document with the egregious errors remaining unchanged.
It's almost like they only care when it doesn't happen to them.
The fact that the contractors were all already properly compensated by the time this report came out goes a long way, too. They even had some contractors come out to defend them saying other companies are way worse about it than they were. Ina's passport fuck up is probably a bigger PR hit than this was in terms of losing good will.
Chumpedos are seething because gwar gura got apparently removed from the thumbnail for the eurobeat thingy.

Do not Google "F1 Yaoi". Spoilers: it is real.
"It's not rape if they're drugged out of their minds."Niji doesn't rape their contractors.
Their contractors rape the Nijis.

mistranslation, it's talking about Cover delaying payment to 29 businesses for redoing videos.>> has also instructed 29 businesses not to repeat the failure to pay

Do artists count as "businesses"? Do they fall under the old law?mistranslation, it's talking about Cover delaying payment to 29 businesses for redoing videos.
"Interest for delayed payment" is old law when it comes to B2B.
"new law" part is applying it to freelancers/contractors.
if they form LLCs, yeahDo artists count as "businesses"? Do they fall under the old law?
You know sisters are reaching hard when even the forum's punching bag is able to succintly tell when they're being extremely retardedSo story so far: Cover got a nothingburger warning over payment delays that happened and were fixed over a year ago in relation to totally new legislation that isn't even in effect yet, but nijisisters trying to portray it as a fucking convicted felony.

The biggest takeaway for me was that google translate / chatGPT are still not anywhere close to replacing human translators. They were supposed to do well with written legal work and struggle with informal, unstructured speeches. But turns out it fucks up written legal shit too as its vocabulary is atrocious and doesn't train based on Japanese legal system, which to be fair, legal jargon are complicated, regardless of the language. So story so far: Cover got a nothingburger warning over payment delays that happened and were fixed over a year ago in relation to totally new legislation that isn't even in effect yet, but nijisisters trying to portray it as a fucking convicted felony.

ChatGPT completely fucked up the legal term of "payment was sent" used in the article into and translate it into "delivery".On April 8, 2022, Cover placed an order with a subcontractor for the creation of a 2D model for video use, and after receiving delivery on the 18th of the same month, required seven rounds of rework free of charge by September 15, 2022, even though the need for such rework was not evident from the specifications outlined in the order documents.
Out of these seven rounds of rework, three were requested after the inspection period, which had been set as within seven business days following the delivery.
Two of these three rounds of rework were made after July 11, 2022, which was the date on which Cover notified the subcontractor that the "production was complete." The reason for these additional rework requests was that a VTuber who used the 2D model requested changes.
Furthermore, Cover neglected to handle the accounting processes in a timely manner, and the subcontractor’s payment for the order was only made on December 27, 2023—619 days after the delivery date of April 18, 2022.
More people than you'd think. Falseflagger/nijisisters/homo-antis have been spamming "Hololive black company doesn't pay artists" for 2 days now.Who actually fucking believed Cover didn't pay the artists for the work? The news clearly said that what wasn't paid were REVISIONS after the fact. I thought this was widely understood?
Ehem excuse me SEA timezoneHow have they been doing it for two days if the notice only dropped a day ago?

The entire saga came from people reading google translate/chatGPT that barely even understand the thing to downright mistranslation. And no actual japanese bother translating the thing because they don't really care. And it just turned into EOP arguing with each others on the internet based on poorly translated articles.
Example:
ChatGPT completely fucked up the legal term of "payment was sent" used in the article into and translate it into "delivery".
The proper timeline would be Hololive contacted A for a model on April 8, paid the entire thing upfront on April 18. Live2D riggers operates by money first, because it's a fuck ton of money and it's very easy to scam. But the other end does happen and we have had some notorious scammers posed as riggers recently.
No actual breathing artist would let their work go unpaid for 2 entire years, they would kick up a storm on twitter. IdolEN's artists didn't even last 1 month without pay. A very important context was missing because people don't know japanese and chatgpt was just talking bullshit out of their ass.
What likely happened is, in my opinion, the amount of money they charged for the revisions was either not a lot and the artists just.... forget it, or they in some cases they just don't even know they were owed the money. Particularly the late payment charge started counting from the day of the initial upfront payment, instead of the day the final revisions was done/accepted.
Tl;dr: AI shouldn't be trusted with anything important.

So anyone remember years ago when Gura called Ame Rebecca that's actually her real name
