Bijou is officially working on moving to Japan.

Did she dump her ffxiv wabyuu indie manager? I don't think most guy would be open to moving to japan to enable their gf's career.

That being said I did know a couple whose girlfriend moved to japan first, get citizenship, then sponsored the boyfriend. The boyfriend was my sempai at work. But my country is kinda poor and moving to japan make alot of sense financially. This doesn't apply to people living in USA. On top of that it requires a huge amount of trust in the couple to survive 5 fucking years of long distance relationship on a different timezone.
Do these women have actual plans when Cover goes under?
Like why upend yourself and go to a country whose language you don't speak while working in a market that has historically been volatile
Like what is your plan in the next 6 months when Cover dissolves
Wactor always welcome you!!!
Joke aside both Cover and Nijisanji is too big to fall at this point. The only real threat is termination, but it should be fine as long as you don't blabber shits
Even if the bait part was true, it wouldn't matter. The easiest way to get a job in Japan is to be living in Japan. It's virtually impossible to find a place to live in Japan without having a job with a big Japanese company, but once you're renting a place it's very hard to throw you out
Actually even if you own properties, japan will still throw you out if you dont have a valid visa, rent doesnt mean shit.
That being said applying for citizenship in japan is "easier" these days. Just need 5 years of residency and a proper job.
...Does she need to do anything special in that regard?
Mint didn't really go hard into marketing herself(do correct me if i am wrong, and i'm not sure if her and Matara's podcast counts as "self-marketing") to retain a major portion of her Pomu audience, i imagine Dooby would also retain a major portion of Ame's audience just by virtue of existing and streaming.
While she didn't do marketting with marketting in mind, girl was so mind broken by Nijisanji she consider McDonalds.
Mint actually went harder than anyone I know, she was doing karaokes, just chatting live spaces on X-itter to keep her fans invested in her. Her twitter follower on her dearsqn account ballooned. Then there's the Matara's podcast, collabing with one of the biggest indie streamer (Dokibird kekw), dancing IRL with Kiara, going on concert with Phase

Compared to Hololive's amelia or aqua which we literally didn't hear anything from them for months now. I guess ame has a rat model?

What do you think they even gave up to move to Japan? A 9-5 with a 401k? Needing to sell a house/car/break a lease? The extremely secure job of single-episode side character voice acting gigs?
Moving to Japan is probably easier than when they left home for college.
And they're mostly (at least the younger ones) either extremely weeb or Asian so Japan probably feels more comfortable than flyover america.

USA/Canada/most of EU get 90d visa free. Austria and UK (relevance) get 90d+90d extension without leaving.
Probably ~10yrs of residency with the current points system.

With Kawaii dead I can't help but wonder if EIEN is soon to be next on Bossman's "Month of Ice" list... NotKilia now referencing a "freak bitch alien" likely to be https://x.com/FerumiKaipa and an "edge-lord bird" likely to be https://x.com/NemoNevermore_. in her latest to-be-deleted Tweet:
.
Both have Thrones up for new models/rigs with donations and twitter follows from VAllure's Shibi Cottonbum (who also notably gifted a similar amount to the Ekkomori throne). /vt/ rrats indicate these new accounts are EIEN's Zumi and Navi (respectively), but since the accounts are protected there's only circumstantial evidence at best. At the very least, Kilia herself confirmed she is very close friends with Navi during one of her gunpla building streams and Navi and Zumi were among the first evidence points for Ekko being Kilia so it doesn't seem outside the realm of possibility that Ekko would want to return the favor. Probably worth watching for people with any interest in EIEN (if they even exist).
I guess I need to look into VAllure more, I know next to nothing about them other than that they're the :WHORE!!!: corpo, but with Shibi donating to 3 girls, possibly all connected with Stronny's PL via EIEN, I wonder if a gen 2 is in the cards.

EIEN seems to be fucked. When 3/4 of the 1st gen is out, clearly some shit is going down. Assuming corpo is taking their 50% cut and not really doing anything to promote the talents or help them grow. I am still calling VReverie the next corpse.

Ekko has made it clear that she won't be dishing on EIEN but is thankful for the buoys who found her "New Cave" she was afraid they would be mad at her cause she left EIEN

Hope she does well.

My biggest complaint was that Proctor talked over armchair way too many times.
I am guessing it has to do with a little delay and just general not knowing when or where to interject. Normally its not something that bothers me because i know how hard it is for someone to know when the other will pause so they can chime in.

So I want to change the topic from vagueposting and other usual posting for a minute to make a serious question. Have you guys ever dropped an oshi or stopped watching them not because they graduated but because they changed their streams, content, or just because things that seemed fun or liked about them at first turned annoying after? or because you lost interest?
Edit: I guess I'd like to also add, did you stop them watching permanently or returned later? or watch them but less frequently? Also just to be clearer by oshi I mean like a Vtuber you really respected or watched a lot, like one of if not your favourite
Gura - Would watch most of the time, stopped watching when she went MIA for a year.

Enna - She started collabing with Kyo and I would rather watch paint dry. She also started being extremely bitchy and I lost all interest in her. Doesnt help that Sayu thing and then the Selen thing soured me from Niji

Nina/Matara - I would watch her often but after graduation she moved to Twitch

Watson - Kamioshi, her streams started getting a bit too late for me to watch so the last year or so i barely watched her. Also she took a bit of a hiatus.

Tenma - She started streaming a bunch on Twitch and I just stopped watching her.

Lia - Streams a bit too early for me now since i get home from work at around that time so i have to cook and do house chores n shit.

Shiina - I got blacklisted from chat for the entirety of gen 2, lost interest after she got really bitchy over something (dont remember exactly what but it was the final straw).

Pippa - I have commented before how I feel like she lost her edge which is what made me like her early on. Before 2024 I had not missed a single stream but 2024 I have probably only watched about 50% of her streams, and many of them I just dip out if she's playing a game I don't really care about.

Vesper/Randon - I find it hard to catch him online after he dipped from Holo. I would often watch his talking streams at lunch but i don't really have a lunch break anymore.

Riifu/Stronny - After she ragequit she spent 1 year working on her corpo and I replaced her timeslot with other things.

Selen/Doki - I used to watch her chill Apex collabs with Bobon and RPR n Tempus but she doesnt seem to be doing much of that anymore

Kirsche is the only one at the moment I watch fairly regularly. I catch the early part of the stream while im at work and the 2nd half on my way home. Once she starts playing games I often tune out.

Looks like Kick is trying to court vtubers in the wake of all this Twitch drama. Honestly, if their audiences would actually follow them over, it'd probably be great for indies, outside of discoverability.

Edit: Huh. Kick has its own vtuber group. By which I mean a group that exclusively streams on Kick (they post clips to YouTube), not one created by them (as far as I can tell).

Another edit: Wait, they've been around for a year now? There are absolutely zero posts here or on KF. Has anyone heard of these girls?

Interesting, Runie mentioned collabs on her stream too. Someone in Phase must have noticed that only Rie, and Pippa recently, regularly collabs outside company with non regular collab partners. She said something like how she mostly let collabs develop organically which ends up within the company.

That seems pretty interesting, might have a quick look tomorrow to see what they're like and if they're taking advantage of being on a less restrictive platform (please don't be whores please don't be whores please don't be whores).

Spoonfeed me.
He put a niggêr floyd joke in one of his clips that ended up on phase weekly. He got banned from the discord and gen2 chats. At least that's the incident I remember if something else went down I have no idea.

If they sort out their issue of having every retard under the sun in their platform they could get some people to join. I'm certain the moment more vtubers join the platform you're gonna have a bunch of spergs rioting and harassing vtubers.

Honey Kub, one of their talents, is being followed by: Sena, Erina, Pippa, Rie, Sayu, Lia, Shondo, and Flork. Probably more, but those are the only ones I'm also following. Also, apparently this one doesn't stream exclusively on Kick, and doesn't have it linked anywhere.

Update: it seems I am a bit wrong on the japan thing. There are 2 different process
- Naturalization: renouncing your previous citizenship, more tax, rights to vote
+ 5 years of continuous residency in japan
+ 3 years of working VISA if not married
+ 1 year of continuous residency & 1 year of working VISA if married to a japanese nationals
+ a shit ton of interviews, and submitting your profile detailing your birth, how you grow up, etc.

- Permanent Residency, can keep your previous citizenship, less tax requirements
+ 10 years of residency
+ Can be exempted of above if score 70 on the points cards for 3 continuous years.
+ Can be exempted of above if score 80 on the points cards for 1 continuous years.

I'm not gonna even bother looking up how the point system work, but apparently permanent residency is even easier to get if you are married to a japanese than naturalization?

Tl;dr if you are an attractive girl with a job it probs isn't that hard.

Context.
Aleda was doing the rice purity test and reminisced about something that happened in highschool, since apparently she didnt have many interactions of the sexy kind in back then.

Unfortunately for her, she completely forgot I was present during the infamous drunk stream and I remember embarrassing details about said story.

Kick is basically a way to promote gambling content and stake.com to its audience. They're not going to start banning people for spurious reasons to try to tidy up their image and move towards the direction of YouTube or Twitch, it's not in their best interest or going to make them money. Right now, any vtuber that decides to use Kick is just going to have to make their peace with what the platform is trying to do and just accept that neither Twitch, YouTube or Kick are running a non-profitable streaming platform for altruistic reasons.

The only thing that worries me with kick is the fact that if vtubers start moving there, retard streamers will start making content out of them and send their viewers to say dumb shit. Knowing how mentally weak most vtubers are, there will be some breakdowns on stream.
