Oh, wow. Fuck Twitter. I was just trying to download IRyS's latest twitter space because I keep getting seconds of silence, and when I went to get the url, I found that it's sent in chunks. So instead of a two-hour audio file, you're actually listening to hundreds of 3-second audio files in succession. Thank fucking god for Lychee.
Has this been the case for long? I feel like this must be relatively new.

every time I saw Alice by pure accident, it was just her playing FOTM with nothing really going for it, just like nearly every other 1view - which was around the time that I suggested the content plan of her studying "one year before burning" streaming events like Unus Annus. Pippa raided her once, and what did she do with it? Nothing. Business as usual playing Supermarket Simulator. No surprise at the massive falloff.
...I'm just going to assume she did not, in fact, create a content gameplan since then, while still expecting the success that comes with it. Nobody is owed success in VTubing without immense work behind it. Does she truly want to become a success with her one-year gimmick? Then she needs to put in an immense amount of work to create content that other "permanent chuubas" are unable to do, much like Unus Annus before her. Sure, she could have spent the two years putting all this together, but it's clear that she did it incorrectly.
"but the one year is almost up", yes, which is why a major content revision like this should involve biting the bullet lore-wise with a hard restart. she could have a "turning back the clock" week of event streams, which could simultaneously show off some of this content revision before it kicks off fully with the "restart", while building up an initial audience base since her 30 loyal viewers are clearly "not enough" for her (and they should seriously consider putting their time and money elsewhere if they're treated like garbage).
anything beyond that, or the amount of content planning that would go into such a revision, I'm not going to advise her for free - and if she can't pick up what I'm putting down, then she is doomed to remain forever irrelevant.

She was literally doing her taxes for the first 75% of it, so there was a lot of silence while she was looking for receipts. It wasn't until the end when she started really tangenting.

Overall, i'm not sure whether to treat this story as tragic or hilarious. If Alice was preparing this for two years, there's absolutely no excuse for her to not have done the most basic research and just expect 4-view status to magic itself into existence.

It feels genuinely sanity-restoring to see someone say that. Shitting on Calliope Mori is such a vtuber fan community pasttime, girl does not get ⅒ the props she deserves for working her way up from "Waitress at a local Chili's" to "Best-selling Rap Artist". As if the moves did not take heartache & the tracks are not fire.
Of course I went back to watch her 3D debut stream. It was kind of dumb tbh, but her movements fit the design perfectly. Watching her flounce around with that aloof, bratty demeanor activates all kinds of neuron.
The stream also gave off some Alice in Wonderland vibes - American McGee style - which made me think we need some Shiori in Wonderland content. Maybe with other holomems as Wonderland characters - Tweedlefuwa and Tweedlemoco, that kind of thing. It's such an obvious idea, I'll bet somebody's done it already.
