Most of the time, you don't. Many countries only allow you to have double citizenship, and sometimes renouncing is not an option. (see example below)
A few pages back, someone said she had an Argie citizenship (despite being paraguayan). Argie citizenship is one of the very few that you can't renounce, so if what you said about Japan's citizenship is true, that they require you to renounce to your other citizenships, then she's disqualified for life.
That's not counting the situation about her being born there and not staying for 5 years as required.

Japan allows you to naturalise without renouncing another citizenship in cases like that where it's just not possible to renounce.

Perfect example of why anyone who wants to turn vtubing into a career needs a backup channel on an alternate platform. Even if you just stream on it just once a week, your fans have another place to come find you if some bullshit like this happens. This applies equally to vtubers on YouTube or Twitch.
