Neko Asuna/NerdyAsuna Dies
New
Looks like a certain Toxic Orca is loving Deltarune right now.
I don't think Japan Expo has lost interest in Hololive given that they had that whole partnership together during this year's World's Fair in Osaka. It's more likely that either Holo didn't want to double dip with them in 2025 or it didn't work out with the other events they're organising at this time of year (e.g. Justice would be perfect for the EU con scene, but they're all in Japan right now).Same thing happening with Japan expo in paris, literally 0 vtuber presence there this year.
Holo I can sorta understand because their california event is gonna be dodgers, but there being NO corpos there does seem like the con itself wasn't that open to chuubas.
There's Nova and Kanna in Glitch Stars, the latter double dipping after buying her IP from PixelLink. And rumours are that Nova and Furi were going to be part of the PixelLink Gen 3 that never materialisedBut really, she shouldn't be joining a microcorpo general. If she is, then she's probably the only Vreverie girl outside of Salmon that didn't learn her lesson at all from what went down.

Also there will be very little vtubing content in the Paris event this year, but there is some:

She has an interesting "lore"Ex-Nijisanji Ex-Nornis Asahina Akane (grad. May '23), who later became a travel vlogger Sakurakochan, has starting vtubing again as Usabara Ena.
(She doesn't publicize her tabelog but it's pretty darn interesting to read.)
She's using a pretty solid strategy for "new" content creators to follow. I see pieces of it here and there but she's really putting it together.
1. Daily shorts/TikTok game.
From doing 1-verse/chorus song covers over minecraft clips to Irasutoya slideshow voiceovers.
Vtubers don't really fuck with Instagram though, but the 2.5D singer types do. I wonder if Instagram has a riajuu stereotype to it.
2. V-tweeting until some milestone for a debut stream.
She made it 20k YT subs here, but I've also seen other people do twitter followers or views on a cover.
I feel like this strat only really works if you already have a strong following elsewhere.
There's also the finesse of setting a target that you know you're gonna hit in some expected time frame and not some lofty goal that you never reach.
3. Debut merch cash-out. I personally hate this.
People are generally "EN Vtubing bad" but I feel like western vtubers don't push as much dumbass merch as JP vtubers.
There's a larger conversation to be had here about the proliferation of poor quality acrylic stands, badges, and stickers (old-heads will remember when that kind of merch at anime conventions was basically given away because they cost like 5 cents).
The merch culture in JP vtubing is kind of off the rails and I really want to see some accounting to see if it actually works out, especially with how much of it is "limited time/edition" which seems like it's terrible for hitting MOQs.
I'm Ena Usabara and I'm aiming to make a major debut after being cheated on by my bandmate's ex of a musician
If you watched Ophelia when she was Ophelia you'd have known the answer to your second question
I only watched some of her singing streams but I didn't know that she was a whore.I feel like this has been well known for several years now.
Why lie? Please tell me you at least Google this stuff before you put it out there with such conviction.- There is no talent management within VShojo, Matara had to seek out WNE by herself, while most other VShojo talent registered under Mythic.
It's not even management, it's agents. Not a single VShojo talent in Mythic and the only ones with secondary management are Mouse, Zen, Henya and AmaLee for her VO hustle.
They don't sign away IP (it would be legal logistic nightmare), at most they sign away exclusive rights to produce merch, and only merch, for a certain time. Which make sense, company invested money into merch drop so they want to get returns, which mean some kind of non-compete until they start shipping it out or until hard deadline.- Vshojo members actually signed away their IP regarding merch when joining VShojo. From this stream 2 weeks ago, Matara said she cant sell any merch for the foreseeable future as VShojo still owes the IP to her merches and there are alot of slimy terms & obfuscations inside the VShojo contracts. She gave out a deadline of maybe October this year, but couldnt be sure.
Re:Act is so fucking weird to me. Any other corpo would've crashed and burned by now but they're like stubbornly staying alive and nobody wants to sign a DNR.I notice she and fellow genmate Shirazuna Iwo have already talked about numbers (subs) which is IMO counter productive. They might have seen Suzuhana Inori rose up in sub count (luck plays a part as well, two sets of fans thought she was their oshi's reincarnation) and Kannagi Anna's being quite impressive as well but talking about it this early feels too desperate. I believe the company nailed good singers this time around so they should've let things happen naturally. Anna is the most optimistic though aiming for a million subs where none has even reached half of it.
she (on sakurakochan) mentioned a crazy ex who threatened to kill himself if she broke up with him and jumped out of a 2nd floor window. They would pull knives on each other in fights, she would push over the refrigerator and shelves. She has an interesting "lore"
But they do have a YouTube channel?Absolutely agree.
I just wish she'd make a Youtube channel instead of posting everything on Xitter. And I'm not talking about Shorts, but unfortunately the algorithm is pushing this dumb shit instead of regular Videos.
My bad for not remembering exactly what the talent agencies are. They just blend altogether and the only one I remember is mythic. Why lie? Please tell me you at least Google this stuff before you put it out there with such conviction.

Ah yes, UTA with Timothée Chalamet, Will Ferrell, Donald Glover and Harrison Ford, or Mythic with FalseEyeD, Eggsoup, AnimeUproar and Filian. My bad for not remembering exactly what the talent agencies are. They just blend altogether and the only one I remember is mythic.
Also... no way I thought A-Chan would come back
Really pleasant surprise
Geega and Matara also both had outside management while they were in VShojo. Why lie? Please tell me you at least Google this stuff before you put it out there with such conviction.
