I'm pretty biased for having two degrees and not scoring a decent "real life" job because of that, and I still don't think it's right of me to get so many comm offers just because I know/worked with the right people because for some, there's other people that could do better and I suggest them instead when I don't need the money.

I agree, but having no opportunities after doing what was parroted to me for 20 years breaks anyone's psyche. Not a surprise there's so many lawyers and engineers living as hobos- even if they are a minority it's crazy that they exist. It shouldn't be like this anywhere and vtubing being a new space could at least not commit to the same mistakes, shame that train left a long time ago.

As much as I support being hired on merit (a meritocracy if you will) networking is definitely a good way to seek new hires because it proves that you're able to work with the existing team or not. I speak this as someone who was hired technically on merit.

The reason people complain about "nepohires" is because often the people getting that jobs fucking suck at it and their connection is the only reason they get that job. Of course, like many other words people that don't use their brain just say it like a soundboard with faulty buttons, so it loses its meaning.

Personally not a fan of non and her chaos, but her and the rest of her ex-genmates (who are still close btw) would fit pretty well with phase, Naki and Sara.

Still wish nothing but the best for the prism girls all of them are talented and deserve success.

Glad for those three. Really good decision for both sides. But looks like Phase has gotten so big now that it's unrealistic for little vtubers to get in as invaders anymore.

I see Invaders partly as a reciprocal deal - Fishman wants talents who can add their viewers to the wider Phase Connect audience, and also introduces the Phase Connect audience to the Invaders. The hope is, obviously, that all the talents, Invaders and current talents, get a boost in viewing numbers. There's less in it for Fishman if the Invaders don't really have an audience to bring.
