Seems like her pain is indeed not imaginary and that it isnt caused by daddy issues after all
I am no medical expert, but its great that she does have a real diagnosis of something now, at least the next doctor she goes to with this can work on fixing that instead of just prescribing generic physical therapy.
So far, chances are, that a surgery of some kind might be needed. I hope that she will jump at that opportunity and that her brainworms dont tell her not to do it because she then would have to skip dancing during the recovery period.
But taking that surgery is probably better in the long run, she might even dance without pain in the future.

They can now all bond about how fun it is that doctórs often dismiss womens health issues

I'm happy that she can get this fixed because I've heard herniated discs are living torture. The bulging part of the disc just squeezes the sciatic nerve, resulting in permanent suffering and being unable to walk straight.
Fibromyalgia is the "depression/anxiety" diagnosis of the physician world in that there's clearly an idiopathic root to the problem but they can't be assed to simply say "I don't know" so they end up with some bullshit.
