A lot of the issues with Hololive merch is that it's shipped to Japan then routed out. So it'd only be effected for Japan to USA sales, but there should be something like a $800 minimum for shipments before tariffs show up. So there shouldn't be any issues unless you bought a lot of stuff or it somehow doesn't hit an exclusion.

That said, the USA forcibly rebalancing the global trading schemes is going to cause a fairly sizable shift globally. I have no clue what's going to happen from that.

For now. The proposal is to end the $800 de minimis exception for all countries tariffed once resources to actually collect the tariffs are in place.

They don't even need to do that, just open a US warehouse - that way the tariff is paid on the wholesale cost not retail. The markup on merch is huge....

I think people are largely going to be willing to pay a bit more at a fixed rate upfront rather than deal with paying uncertain customs fees much later after things are shipped.
