ah yes the softcore porn with a fighting game attached.

i still find it amusing that of the fighting game movies it's probably the best of them.

They are either saving this shit for DLC characters or Team Ninja are legitimate retards.

Why is this even a question. Series staples not being in the game? of course it's DLC.

The 1995 Mortal Kombat movie is not only far, far better, but the best video game movie to date.

Best of seven with me, motherfucker.

Apparently Schedule 1 came out of nowhere and has been hitting huge numbers
schedule1peak.png

It's only $17 on sale, so that helps with the numbers but that's a lot of people playing a drug dealer simulator. Supposedly the demo gave just the right amount of content to get people hooked on the gameplay loop. Seems to be focused a lot more into the actual manufacturing process than other drug dealer simulators.

Sharing because it seems interesting but it's funny to see a random indie game completely trounce Shadow's player count.

Turns out if you have a really good gameplay loop, and it gets enough traction via word of mouth + streamers who enjoy it (without needing to be paid to play it), you'll do better than most AAAA games out there! Even if it looks like dollar store Rick & Morty!

Will this cause major publishers and developers to put a larger focus on gameplay? Absolutely not! Support your local indies today!

The first MK movie is awesome. If you don't like it, you simply don't like fun. Also, Johnny Cage and Raiden hard carry that movie. The Goro effect is still better than anything they put out these days.

Even though AC:Shadows is going to be console heavy, it's extremely likely this game will outsell it by the end of the month. And this an Early Access Solo Indie game. Apparently, though, people are stuck in the Casino, lol. As Balatro has shown, those mechanics really work.

Looks fun when watching it on a stream. That doesn't always mean it's a good to great game, but it makes it far more appealing because a good streaming game has some form of enjoyable game play loop.

CD was something of the ground zero for all of the current stupidity. It's why the Tomb Raider games kept doing worse, even if they were a pretty damn solid technical marvel at the time.

Well the big difference is the price tag with Shadows at a $70 price point compared to Schedule 1 at $17. So to outsell it in terms of raw units, it has to sell 4 times as many copies as Shadows on PC alone while Shadows also has an install base on consoles. So Shadows should by all means outsell this unless it somehow maintains its high numbers for a while. The game launched in Early Access too, so it has a good chance of seeing big numbers again when it leaves Early Access in 2 to 15 years. However the big point is that this game had likely nothing close to 0.5% of Shadows's dev costs and marketing expenses, so it's safe to say this very well could demolish Shadows in profitability.
