The original Avengers movie sucked too, I liked it when it came out but it's schlock. Thor was also fine for what he was in his original movies and they should have let him be a niche thing for people who wanted that, but nope Ragnarok was the climax of what shit was becoming. Iron Man 2 was ok at best and Iron Man 3 was a disaster due to them not wanting to tackle trauma fully or let the villain be the villain without some dumb twist. That flanderization only really took hold after Endgame. There were quips and sometimes they could be overbearing (main example being their use in Thor: Ragnarok and his being turned into a joke as Fat Thor), but for the most part they could still actually tell a compelling story and let drama and stakes stand. Now they cannot at all.
I had the eimi stream open and I didn't notice it but I was also doing like 3 other things so maybe it's pcg banter and maybe it isn't
That's a different kind of aim aim aim. It's not that long ago.

buffy and firefly were fun. but then he got his head up his ass on the women's lib shitAvengers 1 and 2 sucked because Whedon's writing is god awful. Agree on Thor. Iron Man 3 was 2/3'rds a great movie that really fell apart in the third act.
It's really sad, looking back. Iron Man 3 could've been one of the best, but I guess some studio exec demanded it have a Marvel Movie ending and that fucked it over.
I don't mind Ragnarok too much, it had a vision and it accomplished what it was going after while giving Thor decent character development and for the most part letting him have badass and serious dramatic moments (excluding the retarded quip the talking rock makes when Asgard fucking explodes), but the main problem I have is Disney learned wrong, very bad lessons from it and now every movie tries to be equally goofy without having the talent of a decent script and characterwork, something even its' director failed to realize when making Thor 4. It wasn't the climax of what things were becoming, that wouldn't be fully realized for a few more years; Thor's depiction in Infinity War, the movie immediately after Ragnarok, was still extremely good.Thor was also fine for what he was in his original movies and they should have let him be a niche thing for people who wanted that, but nope Ragnarok was the climax of what shit was becoming.

I didn't either, until I learned more about the Hulk from the comics. They did him so fucking dirty throughout the entire MCU...I don't mind Ragnarok too much
Was Avengers 2 Ultron? That should have been an easy movie to make but I didn't even watch it as it was known to be shit by then.Avengers 1 and 2 sucked because Whedon's writing is god awful. Agree on Thor. Iron Man 3 was 2/3'rds a great movie that really fell apart in the third act.

Ok Mike, if you like schlock you like schlock, but Ragnarok was the first Marvel movie I saw after years of not watching them and it made me not want to watch anything going forward.
