Some day, someone will figure out how to make a branch specifically for kids, but currently I agree.
Actually, wasn't that the whole point of that one guy who started on youtube and built a traveling show for kids that uses actors who kind of look like him as stand ins? That would be a lot easier to do with a virtual model.

Something like that or Blippi was the one I was thinking of. The point being that it's more something they can have multiple people playing the part of than tied to one person specifically. Just seems like an obvious progression with motion capture tools and market niches.

I don't know. I found it on /pcg/ a while back.
The problem is that the vtuber community is much more tight-knit space and it's a lot easier to fall further and further into it than mainstream internet content which is more spaced out with less crossover. We refer to it as a rabbit hole for a reason.
There's a handful of genuinely wholesome safe-for-work streamers who, in a vacuum, are perfectly harmless for kids to watch; but it's much harder to make that recommendation when the viewers can stroll over to Twitter to find fanart of them getting piped, and eventually get clips in the sidebar of other vtubers who do lewd ASMR and have Discord servers full of horny fans who likely aren't the most morally upstanding individuals.
It's not realistic to filter out kids completely, but given how prominent sexual content is in the wider community it just doesn't feel responsible to invite them in.
All I really know about Blippi is that at some point before becoming a kids' YouTuber, he made a Harlem Shake scat parody where he shat on some dude's head.

While I agree, I think the same is true for a lot of kids content such as Pokemon, and any other show, to the point where I wouldn't be surprised if the dog from Blue's Clues was subject to such things.
I think vtubing is still a rather small niche and as the technology improves we'll see it expand to other parts of the cultural norm, much like we saw with anime being very niche and adult, but now it influences all media from kids content to porn and everything in between. The first movers who bring it into a new niche will be greatly rewarded, but I don't think it's going to be in the form of "Phase Connect Kids" rather it will be something like a subsidiary by a different name, much like how Nickelodeon had Nick Junior and Nick At Night, or Cartoon Network had Adult Swim, but with a greater distinction so that they can silo content much better but still have content for people from their childhood to their adulthood.
They probably need some artificial chat if they have any at all and they could even have multiple regional actors playing the same personality so that any level of interaction is manageable if any exists. Think of it as a very efficient way of someone wearing the mascot costume at a theme park mixed with a daycare class. Allow it to be locked to only that channel and you eliminate the risk of Pregnant Elsa killing Spiderman.

Depends on what time the stream is, Pippa could do it at her normal time on thursday and it would on friday for Jerry. I mean look at the time her other streams are, 3AM ET
