First and foremost, Firestorm released today! This is the fifth set of Elestrals, introducing Divine Champions, which are the "Pokémon" to the "Trainers", for the most immediate comparison. It's inspired by those sets where you get "Trainer's [X]" as cards, or "Team Rocket's [X], etc. They also count as separate cards, so you could have the base copy of the Elestral *and* the Divine Champion Elestral in your deck, almost as if they're balanced to work together!
Two products that are practically flying off the shelves, are the
Hermes + Zeus Double Starter Decks as well as the
Hestia + Poseidon Double Starter Decks. Unironically, they're the best way to get into the game, because they're built to be tournament ready with the same cards that are staples in regular play, much like the other starter decks in the previous sets. Why play in tournaments? Because tournament prizing allows you to purchase additional cards just by playing the game, alongside obtaining tournament exclusive cards.
...And because they're built to be tournament ready, the starter decks of each set have been selling out one by one! It's a cheap way to get a base for a customized deck, instead of purchasing the individual cards and worrying about getting ripped off from third-party sellers! In fact, even though Firestorm released today, a significant chunk of their products have either sold out or are in danger of selling out, which is a first for an Elestrals set (that I know of)! Needless to say, the game isn't in any danger of going away any time soon, but you're probably going to have to deal with third party sellers for pre-Firestorm non-booster box product!
I would have recommended additional products to help her get into the game better, such as the Pandora's Box (which includes two packs from each set + promo + tournament exclusive cards), but those are also selling out, because of how much Elestrals is growing recently! In fact, it is a testament to the growth of Elestrals, because Pippa has gotten into it recently, and not just TCG chuubas and MTG/Yu-Gi-Oh Flesh-streamers! I do not know how else I can get across that the team behind Elestrals is dedicated to its growth, and if she contacts aDrive herself, he can hook her up with a creator box or help stop the brain worms better than I can!
