It didn't start that bad but as 10's seasons went on it got more and more blatant and now the newest doctor is flaming and wants to twerk a monster to defeat it.

She is overthinking this so much. It exists because Felicia Day was a redhead gamer girl and teenage boys at the time thought she was hot. The plot is just an afterthought.

Worse, there was a throwaway line at the meetup episode about how she joined a local guild and they had never met so they actually did cover this. The top guild also all being both local and in the same town is bullshit though but bad sitcom coincidence so whatever
