There is iced coffee that is brewed hot then served over ice with a bunch of trash like real and faux dairy products w/ sweateners, but it's hard to call that coffee. The British way is based on the days when our only options for refreshment were infected water, alcohol, or piss-water (hot tea). Tea is meant to have a whole bag of sugar dumped into it and mixed with 90% ice, then poured into a glass mason jar while it's 300 degrees outside.
