I am now seeing genuine speculation that this could cause Hiromoot to give up on 4chan and attempt to sell it.
...and that Elon would then step in to buy it, because he desperately wants to be seen as epic and cool.

As funny as it would be, I highly doubt it. More than Hiromoot has an invested interest in 4chan. No, I'm not talking about the feds. More than anything I'm curious if they will make any changes to the user experience.
4chan isn't gonna go down forever. It's unfortunate that it took this for them to have initiative to improve the security but they used to have hacks like this all the time - it's actually quite funny it took this long for another one to happen. More than likely it'll be up in a week at most, the mods - for all that people hate 'em for - still have enough backups to manage to get it back up pretty quickly.
I'm mostly curious where the /pcg/fags will end up since it seems a lot of them have no idea where to go. They were resilient enough to have their own constant threads during the April Fools event so I'm shocked they haven't put somewhere up yet and advertised it in the ghostthreads.

Nothing would change, actually, maybe there would be less nijifags posting on /vt/

I feel ashamed that my oshi knows more dox site than I do.
