Except he wasn't. Both in this route, and in the other one Pippa's missed, he's very obviously trying to get rid of Andrew to have Ashley all alone and at his whims.
Also, spoiler from another route Pippa's not done(yet?), Ashley's Entity finds out that it's been wrong when Andrew starts to hatch after killing his sister, referring to him as "Tar soul to be"

I watch Pippa sparingly, but I've been greatly enjoying her Andy and Ley Ley streams. I know many people wanna watch/play this game because "HAHA InCeSt and cAnnIbAlS", but the character writing has me very hooked and I think Pippa is in agreement. One of the few times in a story where the characters are just bumbling and fucking around and I couldn't care less if the plot is at a standstill because Andrew and Ashley are compelling. Side note, I still think there's a darker side to Julia, remember that this route only showed Andrew's POV of their childhood, not Ashley's.

at first I thought they were the same person (Julia and Ashley), multiple personality disorder, and that was sort of brought back to light with the two of them merging in the demon realm

so it could go anywhere, really!

The writing is pretty solid and i'd personally say the writer has a decent understanding of the, uh, limitations of the human condition.
Makes me wonder a bit about his/her own family background if i'm honest.

Side note, I still think there's a darker side to Julia, remember that this route only showed Andrew's POV of their childhood, not Ashley's.

The problem with this, as i said before, is one of the visions, Ashley voicemail one, where we're shown Julia with neither Ashley or Andrew around and she behaves the exact same way. Unless she's also manipulating her older sister, which is frankly a stretch at this point, she's probably genuine in her interactions.
