Looks like it's on his want to read not read, He may not get a chance depending on where they send him. I actually got curious enough to look up prisons banned books list and it looks like in NY state it's on an individual prison basis.

Everyone should read it, not because it's some book of wisdom but rather because it's very informative about how a group thinks and it shows how horribly misinformed any discussion about the piece is in general.

I just think that you should always read the works of those you most disagree with or find most controversial, if those works have inspired masses.

Just remember that most English copies out there today are inaccurate unauthorised translations that add forewords criticising the author to negatively colour your impression of him before you start reading, and are localised with harsher language in an attempt to make him look worse (the Manheim version literally adds n-bombs that Hitler himself didn't use).

Don't be fooled by this attempt to reach across the aisle; it's another one of his tricks.
