It must be me being a newfag and not spending much time/any time with people's older models, therefore not having any habit/nostalgia, but it's weird for me to read about both Nasa and Lumi.

Lumi's old model had such a charming, derpy-as-fuck face at times. Just imagine the way Lumi talks with her shit talking and tard moments and put it to this face:

Funny as hell.

Definitely wasn't perfect, but she made it work for her really well. One of my favorite examples of that is in this short:

Public ownership isn't exclusive to capitalism, it's actually really gross that the stock market defines capitalism in the mind of a modern goy.

She actually has a reasonable interpretation of how public companies work. Steve Jobs was actually kicked out of Apple by the board and a Pepsi exec he hired. They later brought him back after Apple almost died.

I'd argue that Public Corporations are anti-Capitalism, if we define Capitalism as Free Enterprise, as they would essentially cease to exist without government granted privileges. And boy, if I were dictator for a day, taking away all those privileges would be like the third thing I'd do.

Old Lumi had a very unique face, especially the eyes (which recall Pippa saying she didn't like). This made her very distinct. New Lumi is Yellow Veibae, and has the Vtuber Plastic Surgery aspect of being "perfect" so it's bland and nondescript. On top of that, it's too fluid, and that is generally used as a crutch for streamers who don't realize that vtubing is more than just having an avatar on screen.

However, Lumi is an excellent puppeteer, and has made full use of the New Model No. 2, so I forgive her. I still miss the old model, but man, she puts in the work.

I also really need to unfuck my sleep schedule; sounds like I missed yet another great Pippa stream.

I can see the appeal, but i just adore the sheer smugness of current-Lumi too much.

And boy, if I were dictator for a day, taking away all those privileges would be like the third thing I'd do.

Incidentally, only being a dictator for a day wouldn't even be your choice as you'd get shot by the end of that day.

As for "if Phase going public i'll just leave" thing in general, Pippa is probably the only one bold enough to just say it publicly, but i'm pretty sure she wouldn't be the only one mentioning it in private.
Sakana has been demonstrated to have a solid business-sense, so i highly doubt anything like this would happen in the foreseeable future.
