All three are solid, but Sleepy's model is fucking incredible.
Tho i'm curious to hear if there's any whiplash from people who actively watched her previously.

She mentioned some people were surprised by the... assets. But some of her old models had huge boobs, it just wasn't as obvious.

Yeah some older models were just as stacked, it's just she had been using a more petite one for a good while and people got used to that. Also she said that when she received the model she was so blown away by it's cuteness that she didn't even notice how big the booba were until it was too late to make any changes before debut.

If you got a shit useless degree, my engineering degree has paid off massively and I paid off my student loans in just a few years (helped I also went to a state school and as I wasn't a dependent I qualified for a lot of grants and tax breaks so I only owed like $25k by the end. Admittedly this was in 2010-ish money.)

I never really got why talents got excited about certain artists being their vtuber mama or especially seeking specific artists out, but Sleepy's artmama, Ayamy, is really top-tier and deserves the hype. Between Yozora Mel, Maid Mint and Sleepy, that woman really knows how to design an amazing, cohesive and aesthetically-balanced character.

It's why you see so many with models from Nano or Goro or such despite them pumping out variations of the same body and face, the girls go for them as they want that body and/or as well just with different clothes and hair.

Did she at least finish the DLC first? It's one of the few games I've seen where completing the DLC first actually enhances the ending as the DLC story and one of it's characters are actually incorporated into the main game ending. Going back for the DLC doesn't hit the same when you already know 90% of ending when you get to it again.

Nope. Finished the game once, then took a few days' break, then went through the DLC and finished it one more time.

I feel like there is more to it than that. Yes there is prestige is having a top level artist like Nanoless, but there is also an objective quality jump with some artist/models. For all it might not be polite to rank art, it's not all created equal. Dokibird stands out in my mind has having clearly superior art and rigging, and I can imagine any vtuber would loooove to have their models done by the same people. Maid Mint is also a strong example of that. Very well made and expressive.

Phase Connect has mostly decent quality models. Generally nothing absolutely jaw-dropping but also nothing of notable low quality either. There are a couple which would probably make the cut for a top tier list, imo. Those being Hina and now Sleepy. And I don't think it's a coincidence that Mint and Sleepy share the same artist.

Phase's top-tier models for me personally are i'd say Michiru's(new outfit), Runie's, Eimi's, Hina's and Loki's. I would say Pippa's, but this one is prolly due to how intensely perfect the model is for the person.
Erina has an absolutely incredible design, but the model itself really needs an upgrade, as it's still in its 1.0.
