That was such a terrible sequel, but it did at least warn us in advance of the quality of what Final Fantasy sequels would be.

I could list a bunch of minor niggles and complaints that I had with FFX-2, but I think the biggest issue was how convoluted and unintuitive the requirements were to get everything, never mind the 100% ending. Having to read a guide to make sure you get everything, including classes and special abilities does not make for a fun time.

Oh yeah when I learned about the good ending I just stopped playing that's unfortunately also why I had to drop OG Nier as well my ADHD ass wasn't built to be a completionist

Some of the quests in FFX are unintuitive as to how they relate to the character's final weapon, but if you ace all the minigames and side quests you'll get everything, and you can do it all whenever you want. Meanwhile, FFX-2 requires you to read online guides to make sure you do certain events before other events or you're completely locked out of the "good" ending, as well as earning specific classes and dress sphere grids. It's very easy to get it wrong and miss stuff if you're not reading a guide.
