The main problem is they made the EXP. Share mandatory, but didn't adjust the opponents' levels accordingly, so unless you go out of your way to avoid optional trainers you're gonna overlevel by accident. It's especially obvious in the Diamond and Pearl remakes.Level scaling in Pokemon has only gotten worse each game. They want you to rock up to the Elite 4 with a level 80 Charizard or whatever.
