I think some things need to be decided before we can settle on a design (but feel free to keep spitting out ideas and drawings)
1) Patient or nurse? Or a combination of both as someone else came up with
2) Colours
3) Fluffy tail / ears - yes or no?
4) Not even have a girl and have pill dog instead?
Personally I like the idea of the girl with pilldog as a sidekick/mascot, and I think it would work well as a replacement for the website favicon.
I'm currently undecided, but I think I'm leaning more towards the inmate with chains and belts and shit like here (also I think you meant to link to this post in your 10th link)
I like it. Its color scheme does give me strong 'China #1' vibes though.
Maybe some slight desaturation might help.
