LOL, it's the same thing as the Origin release way back when they gave it away.
The Sims 2 is a real pain in the ass to run on modern rigs even using Windows XP as the game looks for specific time era gpus. So you have to get a fan patch and manually enter in your gpu. It's so easy I've never got it to work

I somewhat understand what you're saying here, but still unsure. Goth has the implication of unique, stylish in an alternative way, with a slight (but not too much) "bad girl" vibe, and would likely bring more peculiar interests to the table. Basically, exotic but relatable.

Just renaming the profile doesn't change the filesystem path, for that she'd have to create a whole new user/profile.
Honestly she should have just reloaded her entire system and wiped all traces of her PL, but I can see why some people do not want to do that because re-setting up your entire computer can be a PITA.
