2016? When Barack Obama was in power? And didn't the Democrats control all three levels of political power for several years while Obama held office?
Since Obama was firmly on the right wing of the dems and is reviled by the far left for that reason, that's not really a gotcha.

Nigga, you think we don't know what sort of hypersexual fag shit the queers were up to spreading AIDs by having gay orgies in San Francisco bathhouses, having literal "bugcatching" communities, and recording themselves butt fucking in Congress?

How convenient that her little chart stops at 1790. I guess French people living through the literal "Reign of Terror" in the 1790s had more pressing concerns than making wealth distribution graphs. Presumably there were no more rich people and everyone was happily living equally and that's why the First Republic lasted so long... laughs in Napoleonic.

I'm not sure "ha ha, yeah, that period of wealth inequality in France was followed by a period of state-sponsored terrorism that ended in a return to autocratic rule under a charismatic warmonger" is quite the couterpoint you think it is, man.

I wonder if Clara knows the simplest thing about fiat currency, how inflation is the increase of money supply, and how maybe simultaneously expanding your money supply and cutting productions causes high inflation which the rich can shield through physical assets that maintain their value as the dollar goes down the drain.

Yes Kelsey, I'd love to keep more of my fucking paycheck, as would most Americans, but a fat chunk of it gets taken out every time so that I can fund wars over in Europe and the Middle East that have nothing to do with me, tranny shit in and out of this country, and people to make an entire living on welfare. I don't know where you expect that the "wealth distribution" is supposed to even out across the different economic brackets, but I know for damn sure us on the outside of the 10%-20% would have a higher quality of life starting with the government not taxing us so damn much just to live and fund a ton of shit people like you support.
fishman should double his company % take on clara specifically and give the difference to jelly.

Saying that French people "have spines" and modern Americans shouldn't stand for it insinuated we should view the French Revolution positively and perhaps even reenact it against the current wealthy class, but it was proto-communist revolutionaries like Robespierre that instituted said state sponsored terrorism. People like Clara always like to view revolutions as shining examples of people throwing off their shackles while ignoring the fact that most of the time the people don't actually end up any better off. The fact that Napoleon was massively popular with the French when he became emperor, despite the French having just executed much of their previous aristocracy a decade prior, speaks volumes as to how bad the aftermath of the French Revolution was for the people. I really don't think pointing to the French Revolution as a sort of aspirational idea to rise up against the rich like Clara did makes sense considering the full historical context and implications.

The American Revolution was more like an English secessionist civil war. The Founding Fathers were ideologically inspired, but also had a lot of pragmatic economic justifications for secession and just believed this secessionist struggle opened an opportunity to test out some new enlightenment theories. It wasn't a real revolution. Most revolutions end really badly.

She really is the prime example of the dangers of having a bit of knowledge but no actual intelligence. Smart enough to understand why the French Revolution began, but not smart enough to see how midwits have white washed and co-opted it for their own agendas. These 'revolutions' aren't heroic nor benevolent, they're just like everything else in reality. Ugly, dirty and needlessly violent.
