I love AutoFister but holy fucking retards (affectionate) they are trying to get a coin that requires them to parry an enemy to get it, but for some reason they keep shooting everything, which I mean, they can't parry the fucking enemy if it's dead.

Okayu has done alright hasn't she.
She's alienated a core part of her fanbase who were just there for the chill bass-voiced cat lady by going all in on the GF Larp, but I yeah, she has done well

What these twitter kids don't understand is that figure companies order shit from China's factory, which make things in molds. And the mold cost most of the product
E.g. Say figurine A cost $200000 in mold + ($20 in plastic and $10 in shipping)/figurine. [all made up numbers, ignoring shit like design cost for simplicity sake]
if you know you are able to sell 1000 of them. You can price each figurine at $234 and earns a $4 profit per figurines. If you know you are going to only able to sell 100, each figurine will need to be sold at $2300 for you to break even. And noone is dumb enough to buy a $2300 kaela figurine, good luck finding 100 of them.
The factories in China don't care how many you can actually make and sell, they just know their mold cost time and money to make. If you can't pay the money then fuck off they don't lack customers.

figurine companies should know the exact amount of figures getting shipped to ID from JP and deemed it's not worth it. I'm talking about the anime/horse girl/touhou figures and not just Holo.
However, Holo should have managers on the ground in ID looking for small shops/artisans in ID and commissioning them to produce a small amount by handcraft rather than factory made in china. But that also comes with a host of problems like quality control, warehouse, distrubution, tummy hurts, etc.
If Holo can't do it, maybe the girls need to do it. While that is asking too much of them & not their jobs at all, if they really really want to get the ball rolling they need to go do it themselves.
So are the gray figures models before molds are made?

That one guy posting a diary tweet was funny though.

Don't know chinese factory but probs something similar to this. But yes. Design in computer > 3D print grey model > Use model to make molds

I think the primary issue is that ID really needs locally produced ID stuff, which getting through either the Japanese Business Autism or local Indonesian Business Stupidity might be more of the issue in total.

I wonder if they could pull off Model Kits?

Is producing model kits that much "cheaper" than fully poseable and painted figmas.
I would have a figure rise standard of Towa-sama and Kaela.

ID3 might be the most viable to make merch for. Kaela had a ~130 dollar merch set, the most expensive set in all of ID, for her 2024 birthday and it still sold out. Zeta sold out the most merch of the ID3 talents and Kobo is the largest ID.

I don't see ID1/2 figures ever being tried unless they did ID3 first as a test and it did extraordinarily well.
