Ariel recently mentioned that for the next idol gen that he has received 2000 applications. Now that might be jew inflation, but imagine the numbers for Cover being astronomically higher. My personal rrat is that Cover wouldn't go after any of the big flesh streamers because of Japanese tardwrangling reasons. Now it would be hopeful optimism on my part that they would recruit fresher talents that they could build, but that doesn't mean that they won't go after some smaller level talents that have a high upside that none of us have the vtuber knowledge or reach to guess.

I was going to rate this horrifying, but the idea of Zen finally making a collab so awkward it might be normal because "both people" in it have to awkwardly wait around for the tts to work amuses me greatly.

Not but yeah. While I do feel like Cover lost a couple good potentials I still have a lot of faith in their talent scouting. I think they dumped all their points into that which is why perms are so fucked. I'm not sure why they thought that would be a good dump stat.

When they were rolling the character, the system was on a previous patch where ignoring perms didn't get your video archives annihilated.

IRyS broke 500k in her first month, but Council were all below 300k only a month later and hit hard by Youtube sub culling. Honestly I have been wondering the same, will the long wait has build so much hype that their numbers will explode on debut, or did the long wait killed people interest and they don't care anymore?

In other words did everyone that has been edging for 2 years will blow their load all over the new girls? or has the wait been so long that people decided to blow their load over other indies and there not enugh left for HoloEN?

Honestly yeah regardless of the outcome someone is gonna get shit on, if the new girls blow up Council is gonna get called the failed gen and mocked as the worst of EN and everyone will said this is proof they were the problem, if they dont people will said EN is death and it should be abandoned.

I don't go to the levels /vt/ will and try to justify things with numbers, but I do like seeing trends in subs, ccv, and supas over time. I have low-expectations on that front, too, but it would be cool to see if one of the girls could pull a Rin and play the YT Shorts game.
