If the auditions were just finalized there is a chance that at least one person (the last one to be selected) may announce or have announced graduation recently or soon. Not a guarantee but worth it to keep an eye out.
At least for some few, they probably imagined that having a corpo brand and fanbase that is loyal enough is good as is. Especially for those who truly sees vtubing as side-gig than full job. Xia Ekavira seems fine with staying alongside her mostly ID fanbase and while she don't have enough capacity to do covers anymore, she doesn't sound too resentful about it (at least on the surface), and probably so does
I can hazard a guess that there are some that enjoy what they have right now and keep their hopes up (Riksa, Amicia, Nagisa for example), some that have small issue but still enjoying it as is (Derem Kado, if only because her fans want to see her interacting with JPs rather than her native fans, ZEA), manages to get some attention to keep up (Siska, Hana, probably Taka) and those that we don't know for sure how they gonna do right now or no clue whats gonna happen in the future (the rest of NijiIDs)
Auditions and new wave, but also ability to do things like collab with local events (2nd wave was debuted on a event I remember seeing), collab with local product (I remember a local phone with NijiexID 3SetBBQ/1Wave livery on it), even their own sets of scripted shows that is similar with what the nijiJP (and EN) are doing if they able. The merge frankly crippled those, leaving all that stuff basically reduced to almost nothing (I still knew that there was one big convention in ID that has NijiID guest starring post-merge, but iirc its just Mika and Layla while HoloID got every HoloIDs there)
If they are willing to jump ship, then they definitely could, but the question is that are they ready to do it now or not.
What Soap said is true, some, if not all of ex-ID have their own main things to do. I know that:
- Hana's in college, so does Azura (who is actually doing it abroad in straya) and potentially Xia Ekavira, judging by PL
- Reza PL was mentioned to be an ex-doctor but not sure if he actually still in that field or doing other things
- Siska also mentioning doing jobs when taking a break, but it might be her lore
- Taka, last I check his PL, he was apparently working with one of the ID's uber-style delivery/rental driver business as manager or some kind, so work trips might be true.
The rest is probably keeping it hidden, or probably not working at all (Layla, if the rumour was right, is already married, while Nara is still having to deal with her injured legs EDIT: how the fuck did I typo'd leg as let wth), but either way, some of ex-ID, if they decided to jump ship, can still do fine if they focuses on doing what they're doing aside of vtuber gigs. And if that doesn't work, there are still local vtuber corpos like MAHA5 that could take them in if it was possible.
Throwing them to EN is less than ideal, since it could alienate the loyal ID fanbase and is complicated by the fact that some of them, while know english, might not be able to do it conversationally or doing it at a long usual streaming time.
Throwing manager and more resources to them is one way to it though, especially considering that some of ex-ID aren't able to do music covers anymore precisely because of lack of money to do the rent and other cover-related matters. Of course, the matters that need to be focused on is whether ANYCOLOR has the desire to do so or just think "eh, not my issue" to them as a whole.

I would hope they'd at least have the blessing to continue past life activities until the official debut, given otherwise in some circumstances they could be not bringing in income for however long it takes Fishfag to get them ready to go.
I'd imagine a big part of whether they bother to graduate their old persona well ahead of time would come down to how much they actually care about opsec on a personal level; it's clear some chuubas actively work to hide who they are while others just do the bare minimum to cover their tracks to satisfy the NDA. I'd argue the latter is smarter, if only to have a backup option available.
Possibly, but current-day Rackets fans spilling over to Pippa's chat would result in even more people "ironically" asking to see her armpits and sniff her feet.

Maybe, but for PC gen 2 they knew by late December who was in but Shirara and Shura still streamed into February. I don't know the other's PLs though.

And out of curiosity does anyone know if Aozora Kurumi, the Air Asia vtuber ever reincarnated anywhere? She was friends with Remi if I remember correctly.
Lumi said the next wave of Invaders were coming before Gen 3 and I've heard both Lumi and Tenma talk on stream about hanging out with them on the company discord over the last couple of weeks so they might not be too far away.
Just don't expect any Tsunderia members yet, I don't know the exact source but apparently as part of the agreement that the talents made to keep their models they promised to not resign to another agency for 6 months (how a now defunct entity can even uphold this I don't know). If it is true I wouldn't be surprised if they did another Invader wave later in the year if any of them wanted to join.
