🎊Check out the new Kamioshi Shrine thread! Shill YOUR kamioshi here! Win prizes!🎊
April is just around the corner, and I'd like to use this time to remind users to donate in support of the site. I am looking into purchasing more add-ons to streamline and enhance user experience, and I am also going to hire another VPS for additional backup space and other important purposes in April.
In addition: I am looking for users who would be interested in becoming Orderlies for the new vtuber threads. Responsibilities would include highlighting and properly collating information in each thread, and also maintaining the announcement widgets for each thread. Knowledge of basic HTML and CSS (very easily learned) essential. DM me your interest.
Finally, I'm looking for anyone with intermediate to advanced HTML/CSS/PHP knowledge to continue work on the forum styles. I am willing to pay for this service, but if I do, I expect commitment and results within a reasonable timeframe. DM me any offers. Thank you.
Also, judging by the time of this waiting room, Kiara has landed in Japan (if that wasn't obvious already since she was silent on twitter for longer than 6 hours)

Also freaking out since discord isn't working on her phone. Trying to stream snipe Kaela to the game as well.
Caramel idol does not want to play Harry Potter since the game looks bad, but wants to set her twitch stream to say she is playing it just for the trolling and to get on the list

Can someone explain to me the hatred for twitch? Is it because they're owned by Amazon?
For streamers twitch is a better platform to stream on purely because of discoverability. On youtube it's almost impossible to find live streams unless you know about it before hand which is bad for new or small streamers looking to grow their audience.

Unlike susantube, Twitch is actively policed by retarded bay area wokes and their screeching retinue who ban and censor case by case, as they see fit. Think of the worst of discord cliques and intrigues and you would get an idea. Also declare themselves to have "moral authority" when in practice, they're but a room full of professional groomers and dickheads.

They actively fuck over ad blockers and then force you to watch 8+ consecutive ads before you can watch the last 30 seconds of the live stream you wanted to watch. At least on moble you have purpletv that still actively ad blocks but I don't know of a permanent solution to PC.

Their moderation team routinely ban people for the most trivial of misdemeanors while turning a blind eye or just issuing token short suspensions to more popular/mainstream streamers. The recent advertisement spamming issues have just continued to get worse too.

Twitch audience and moderation stuck in middle ages replace jesus with vermin and yamanbas. So much so Seinfield ai saying vermin jokes are unfunny gets banned because it could be interpreted in negative way. So much so they replaced pogchamp over some petty shit. You have to walk on eggshells to actually use twitch. Honestly kill all of the twitch audience and moderation and it becomes more usable for both streamers and audience.
Christ man, Yuko's chat is seriously like 99% green names. Over 300 viewers and I've only seen maybe 4 or 5 grey names in 10 minutes. Those donothons really did gangbusters for the girls. I'm curious if it will carry over into next month when the gifted subs run out though.

People before me have already summarized the moderation and ad issues, so I won't go into those, but I have one other thing to add: the amount of softcore pornographers on Twitch is absurd. Girls like Amoranth and co cross the line and on any sensible platform they'd be kicked to Chaturbate immediately, but on Twitch they're actually defended! If you were to point out how they're breaking any sensible TOS you will get banned. The only time I can remember Twitch cracking down on their bullshit is during the hot tub drama, but they just moved on to their next grift with barely any consequences. Youtube has plenty of similar content, but you have to actively seek it out, is often getting taken down at the same rate it's being uploaded, and it is definitely not being made by top creators on the platform.
