She recently scammed a ton of people as "Ichigo Nogashi" (it's a pre-made model and name) for around $3500 with a story about needing throat surgery because she suddenly could no longer speak properly. She then went dark-ish for a bit and people found out it was Mel Nekomata and they started to chargeback their donations but not before she spent the majority of it on getting this new model and asset given the date of her account creations it was a week after she got caught in her shit. She's been through about 15 or so identities and they all end in the same way: Something ends up being wrong, be it paypal or "physical" or someone more popular/famous "overshadows her", she thought she'd be able to scam people out of money again by using an AI voice changer, despite the fact she supposedly had Cancer and needed throat surgery.

Back when Ames imploded a bunch of people begged her to stop self-sabotaging and just start over, leave the brapping/burping behind and the crazy too.
