Legit what do they really get from niji that they don't get by going indie? the merch percentage is a fucking joke, they don't really get sponsorships that often or ever, their con appearances must be contractual so I doubt they get anything, if they want to produce original songs they foot the bill and the percentages must be garbage too.
I could understand the middle to low end talents sticking around to cling on the numbers but the better talents like selen or pomu are probably losing a lot by not going indie. I think niji at this point is the corpo you manage to get in, do your time to farm an audience and bail to greener pastures.
