It was also later stated that they had been sick since last September with no further updates since then, cover likely trying to contact them before the re-design project started but ultimately went for a different artist after knowing their condition.
I'm personally a fan of their illustration but it's apparent to see that their style doesn't translate well as a live2D model or that they still haven't found the suitable composition to make a proper model yet. At least seeing how hyped Vesper is about the redesign made me think this probably won't be a bad thing, just that I have to start getting used to his new model once it's out properly

Interesting, i have always enjoyed Okayu but always in a side character way, never as a focus so i don't have much of an opinion on her change. As far as leaving her fandom there is nothing wrong with leaving a fandom if either you outgrow it or it drifts away from your interests, I used to be a big achievement hunter fan and now i haven't watched them in years. I would normally say that making an announcement on you way out is unnecessary and just makes you kinda a dick, but considering he was a clipper based around her content he kinda has to make some sort of announcement like this. Overall doesn't seem like there should be any drama around this unless someone else decides to start some.

i am pretty sure jin was one of the most retarded clippers, he was giving lyger a run for his money on the schizo fan scale, he was one of the purists of clipping, the "only my translations are accurate" kind of retard, i thought he gave up on clipping since 2021 but besides that, the whole gfe thing with okayu only really applies if you yourself initiate it, she only really does it heavily on members asmr afaik since asmr is fan service from the start she really only plays into it there anyways. and even then its a "scenario" made for that stream, past that the issue with this type of "fan" is them being possessive of the talent, mostly them not wanting the talent to "love" the other fans, kind of attention whorish behavior from jin since the beginning so it doesn't surprise me from his end, as for other fans complaining about her being "lovey dovey" it only happens when someone sends a SC with that intention, she doesn't seem to lean into gfe as hard since in most of her streams she focuses on the game instead of fucking around with chatters.
