Usually, my opinion would be that posting someone's personal information because you fell out with them is cringe; we are not here to fight your fights for you, and even humouring the idea of doxing in retaliation makes you look petty.

However, you have already crossed that line by teasing it; so shit, or get off the pot. If you truly had reservations about posting it you wouldn't have mentioned it in the first place.

I just saw a few hours ago an ad that lasted for three seconds, and was just a vtuber making sounds with her tongue. It was certainly... interesting. Not enough to watch though.

How okay is it to post a vtuber's real name?

I wouldn't say it's wrong, but it's very strange to just be calling your oshi by their real name. I can't imagine calling Kronii by her real name yet.

Personally, I'm against the sharing of a talent's identity (and doxing in general), doubly so if it's not something they themselves post publicly and is instead private (as it seems to be the case in this instance) - but I'm not a cop, I'm just here to tell you "why not to do this", at the end of the day what you do is ultimately up to you

If you have to ask yourself whether or not it's okay to do so - which would also implicate you in the process - perhaps it is best to take a serious step back and ask yourself "why" you want to do this in the first place, because right now, the spotlight would be on you instead of the talent you wish to talk about, and you might not like what inevitably happens next. Arguably, it's too late to stop it, so let this be a warning to future individuals.

Don't become the next superduper, since it sounds like you might have some regrets in posting said information, but what do I know? I'm just a guy on the internet that refuses to take their medication, just like the rest of us.

In terms of alternative platforms he mostly talks about Rumble and Kick. His main complaint with Rumble was that it has ties to political cast-outs on the right like Trump and that one guy with the lips whose name I can't remember. I haven't really seen a wave of vtubers talking about going to Rumble, so I don't know why he's bringing it up except to virtue signal his politics, but yes, if you kick these people off of the traditional platforms, then they go off to alternatives to keep doing what they do. With Kick, he objected to the founder's connection with a cryptocurrency casino and how the site has become a refuge for gambling streamers kicked off of Twitch. I can understand having an aversion to gambling, since it preys upon addiction-prone people, but so do tobacco companies and drug and alcohol companies and porn mongers and fast food restaurants and social media apps and so on, and at the end of the day if we're not going to ban everything in the world that some people cannot responsibly handle, then we need to allow adults to make their own decisions. And while you're going to find gambling streams on the front page of Kick, it's easy enough to just ignore them and find what you're actually looking for. Maybe if one day they force me to run gambling ads on my streams or something like that, I'll reconsider, but for now, network effect aside, I really think Kick is better than Twitch both for viewers (no obnoxious ads) and streamers (95/5 sub cut).

At one point he says something like "you need to really consider before streaming on these sites because it's going to leave a black mark on your career," and he talks about how he judges people who stream on these sites differently than those on Twitch or YouTube. That really rubbed me the wrong way. I don't think "elitist" is the right word for that attitude but it's something like that.

Edit: On the topic of being unwelcome if you're not cis or whatever, I guess it could happen on Rumble given its political bent, but I don't use it myself so who knows. I don't see it happening on Kick, though. I think he's just projecting in that regard.

I personally like to start up and play new games I want to stream for a few minutes well before stream time so I can confirm they work (and hopefully aren't going to dox me) and swap in another game if not, but I guess the pros just wing it. I still have so much to learn.

I don't think there's a good reason to. Most people are interested in pics or other media accounts and not really full personal information. You should be able to convey this without such private info. But think twice because there could be unforeseeable outcomes. Once you break the plate it'll never be the same again. Another consideration for things like pics is does this person publish or allow publication of this on public sites already or not? Although technically public, I wouldn't consider facebook or a small Instagram account as public. But if this person has media all over already and they're fine with it, it shouldn't be such a problem to connect to thier Vtuber persona.
E Another consideration is considerable time passing. Some people may be very public at one point in life and then become very private later. They may not have access to old accounts to remove them, so it may be stressful or worse for their current persona to be linked to old public ones.
