If you understood how much of the US Infrastructure for the net was held together by duct tape, socks(that's not a joke) and the sheer force of will of random techs you would consider the return of the guillotine to handle the people running the majority of ISP's from the rural DSL/56k providers that still exist to the big companies you likely use and who regularly exploit you.
You have lines that are literally older than anyone using them and equipment that is regularly made worse because of marketing gimmicks. All running on software that could politely be called 'antiquated' that no one really fully understands how this software works and no one can replace it because it's such a huge mess that doing so would be prohibitively expensive and likely any replacement software would manage to be worse.
I left that field for a reason. It was not an enjoyable time. I feel bad for people with internet issues because frankly it has nothing to do with who you go with just how least fucked the lines and backbones are around you and the odds are no matter how many techs you call out, it's entirely possible they can do jack all to resolve your problems and you're stuck with bandaid fixes at best.

So a slightly off-topic point that might see some interaction from some of the StarsEN boys. WoW Classic just announced Hardcore Classic Era Servers coming this summer.

>Hardcore is not a new Season of Mastery, it's just a new set of servers. SoM2 is in the pipeline though (won't be called SoM)
>You get one life. If your character dies, your character will not be deleted but you will be stuck as a ghost (for logistics like passing guild leadership)
>New mechanic called "Duel to the Death". It is exactly what it sounds like and it will be initiated by /makgora
>They haven't stated any other specific rulings, likely won't be Iron Man (ie no grouping, no AH, no mail, 1 attempt at each dungeon before lvl 60)
So I expect some of the boys to do some hardcore streams, which will be very interesting.

There already are WoW Hardcore servers. Asmongold has done a few reactions to stupid deaths in it. Nothing beats seeing a lvl 45 player fall to his death.

Every 4-6 months I have to remind myself of how amazing this girl is as a singer. I don't really care too much for her regular streams but as a singer she is top-tier.
