Hyper raises $3.6M from Amazon and more for its iPhone-based, VTuber-friendly avatar platform | TechCrunch

Hyper's lite tech to build VTuber avatars takes a turn into full-out AI assistants, now with backing from Amazon

TLDR: company called Hyper raised a few million towards a vtuber avatar creation platform and AI vtubers/assistants. Amazon is funding it and there's talks of Twitch integration.

The interesting bit seems to be having fully AI controlled avatars that can stream along with the vtuber or "propel activity when the human VTuber simply wants to take a break but fans do not". Sounds like training your own replacement but what do I know. AI Gura replacement when?

This is now the second corporate ran vtuber AI project I've seen proposed. The last one being largely funded by Sony. See below:

So..I just saw this. IZUMO. Another vtuber AI project. I really don't like the direction this shit is going. It's worrying to hear Web3.0 in conjunction with vtubers. It's only a hop skip and jump to vtuber NFTs.
