I don't really get why she's putting this issue on zoomers when ma'am has been commonly used for way longer than zoomers have been alive. I remember Kirsche also talking about this very topic before. She said that she hates ma'am and you should never call a woman ma'am, no matter their age. They'll be happier by you saying miss instead, which is pretty silly, but these are women we're talking about. It's also very much a regional thing where people don't understand that in the south for instance ma'am is used all the damn time and nobody gives a shit.

Oh I agree 100%, it's better to say neither and just be authentically polite. I love how she keeps doubling down and trying to excuse her stance though. It's kind of a gap moe thing with Shiina where, she is obviously very smart, but then if she's tiny bit wrong.... NO CHAT...ACTHUALLY ... CHAT... IN MY CULTURE.... IN MY **** TECH JOB....

I Love Shiina, but I think she takes the loss here. Ma'am has been the standard for all service jobs for at least the last 20+ years. It's just "respectful word" for "hey you". Only to a literal tiny child would you say Miss. And to a kindergartener She's a fucking dinosaur anyways, why would he call her miss? Yeah this has gotta be a cultural difference thing or something regional. I was always taught that ma'am is both formal and informal so that's why it's the preferred, or "missis" if you happen to know she's married. I have hardly ever called anyone "miss" just as an informal greeting. For guys it's "sir" usually or "mister". But people where I come from don't really care much about that stuff, hell, a lot of em still address women as darlin or sweetheart and it's just another facet of life in the hills.

I mainly just do it as support. Some of them I barely watch at all, but since I watch so damn much Holo overall, it's basically just what I'd spend on a game in a month that I probably wouldn't play anyway. I'm too broke to drop superchats, so other than the occasional merch this is usually it for my support.

Only skimmed so far but interesting tidbit I found: she confirmed she wasn't a vtuber before this and didn't think they would give her the spot. But they did and even gave her the Ok to "express herself" however she wants as long as it doesn't break TOS.

So it seems that EIEN purposely wanted someone like Riifu and wants her to do her thing. Which leads to her planned stream on Friday: She's going to fuck herself with a toy on stream. Which I feel probably does break TOS....? But maybe not if it's just audio.

I mean she seems to be still somewhat active on her other accounts so im guessing its part of the deal and management knows/understands the risks up to a point.

I don't think management knows shit about what's going to fly. If they gave a go-ahead on this it's probably because they're retarded and this company is doomed. I know for a fact that highly erotic/pornographic audio isn't allowed, I've seen videos and whole creators get nuked for it. Shit, they get nuked for less. This clown show just wants to appeal to the worst demographics and milk money by any means if they approve this on Youtube of all fucking places.

If it's behind a membership and she is flagging the content as adult or mature there shouldnt be much of a problem. Especially with tier-1 gifted memberships not having access to the membership so basically you are forced to pay for this content (making you +18).

Happy to see so many comments about IRyS's members only stream, and it actually got me wondering; How many members here are membered to which vtubers? I'd be interested in an anonymous poll, but it would require multiple option selection, and hundreds of names (thanks Nijisanji ). If needed to cut down on the overhead of hundreds of names, it could be limited it to EN talents only, and maybe combine small corpos ('anyone from phase', 'anyone from idol' as options, etc.), and just having an 'other' for any indies.
Getting even more complex, it'd be interesting to see a cross-section of something like '25% of the members of X are also members of Y'. I saw some poll like this from 4chan, but I don't know what site they used for it, and we'd have to lock the link behind a post for registered users only.

Edit: I said 'anonymous poll', but whatever, since people are replying I'll just say mine too; IRyS, Mumei, Chikafuji Lisa.

All the Holo girls and the tempus HQ boys, although I only ever watch IRyS tbh.

I don't mind the folks who are subbed and membered to many of the big megastar vtubers. It's the insane superchatters, the "nearly a $1K per stream" tier that freaking baffles me. SPECIALLY if the vtuber in question only streams 3 to 5 times a month.

I wont give them too much shit because it's a fan game but man those animations look wack, also 2 years of work for no pay is just another level of simping and a bit more pathetic IMO. There's a jap who I think is actually making a hololive fighting game and the animations he does are top notch, I'll post it when I see him again, he doesn't post regularly and I don't know his name cause moonrunes.
